Mark Kirkbride lives in Shepperton, England. He is the author of The Plot Against Heaven, Game Changers of the Apocalypse and Satan’s Fan Club, published by Crossroad Press. Game Changers of the Apocalypse was a semi-finalist in the Kindle Book Awards 2019.

His work has appeared in national newspapers (the Daily Mirror and Morning Star), journals such as THEMA and So It Goes: The Literary Journal of the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library, magazines such as Neon, the Big Issue and the London Reader, anthologies such as Titanic Terastructures, The Climate Matters Anthology 2020 (Riptide Journal/Culture Matters), Handbook for 2021 (The Bread & Roses Poetry Award Anthology) and Horror Writers Association Showcases, and on websites such as Sci Phi Journal, Flash Fiction Magazine, Flash Frontier, and Sein und Werden. He has been longlisted in international poetry competitions, and shortlisted in the AONB Landscape category of the Ginkgo Prize.

Mark is a member of the British Science Fiction Association, the British Fantasy Society, the Horror Writers Association, and Clockhouse London Writers. He is a visiting lecturer at Middlesex University.
